The Knight Cancer Institute Cancer Research Training and Education Coordination (CRTEC) office coordinates, supports, and develops programs to prepare a skilled and knowledgeable workforce to advance the mission of ending cancer as we know it.

Our goal is to provide exceptional education, training, and professional development opportunities that prepare all students, trainees, faculty and staff for sustained, productive, and fulfilling careers in cancer research.

OHSU and the Knight Cancer Institute provide training opportunities for all career stages and across a breadth of cancer research activities related to cancer prevention, detection, treatment, and care. By supporting all students, trainees, faculty and staff in their professional development, the Knight Cancer Institute has earned an international reputation as a leader in cancer research and treatment.
