NIA T32
The NIA-funded T32 grant supports the training of PhD/MD graduate students and postdoctoral fellows in the neuroscience of aging and/or neurodegeneration. If you are interested in applying for one of these positions, contact the program directors to check on availability (raberj@ohsu.edu and/or urbanski@ohsu.edu). Please note that to be eligible for support on a T32 training grant the applicant must be either a USA citizen or a permanent USA resident. The following information needs to be included in the application, ideally as a single pdf:
(1) A cover Letter from the candidate explaining their interest in aging and/or neurodegeneration research, as well as their career plans after graduation or after the postdoctoral training.
(2) Express willingness to participate in a clinical rotation (in the case of a basic scientist trainee), or a basic science rotation (in the case of a clinical trainee).
(3) A copy of the candidate’s biosketch, including in the personal statement information about the candidate's motivation to enter and/or remain in aging and/or neurodegeneration research, and their short-term and long-term career goals.
(4) Two letters of support, one could be from the current mentor(s). The mentor’s letter needs to indicate the availability of funding for the trainee’s proposed research.
