About me

I’m a nationally certified acute care nurse practitioner with a special focus on heart valve disease. I’ve been working in cardiothoracic surgery for over 15 years, and I’m passionate about helping people manage and recover from complex heart conditions.

In my role, I provide detailed evaluations to help determine the best treatment plans for heart valve disorders, and I’m there to support my patients throughout their journey, including after surgery. I believe that continuity of care is essential, especially for those facing acute or ongoing cardiovascular challenges.

Before becoming a nurse practitioner, I worked as a registered nurse in Michigan and at Duke University. I completed my NP training at the University of Pennsylvania in 2016, and most recently, I worked in the Cardiovascular ICU at the Cleveland Clinic. These experiences have shaped the way I care for patients today—with compassion, deep clinical knowledge, and a focus on what matters most to each individual.

Outside of work, I’m an endurance athlete and love competing in ultramarathons and Ironman triathlons. I’m also a big animal lover and the proud cat mom to Jerry Seinfeld. I’m thrilled to be part of the outstanding Heart Valve team at OHSU and truly grateful to help care for our patients.

Insurance

Before scheduling your appointment, we recommend you contact your insurance company to verify that the OHSU Health location or provider you plan to visit is included in your network. Your insurance company will also be able to inform you of any copayments, co–insurance, or deductibles that will be your responsibility. If you proceed in scheduling an appointment and your health insurance benefits do not participate with OHSU providers, your out of pocket liability may be higher. Visit the billing and insurance section of our site for more information.
